Resisting Temptation part 2

Part 2 

We must know that the devil is not always responsible for every temptation that comes our way, sometimes we enter into temptation. 

• For instance when your conscious is telling you not to do something or maybe what your about to do is wrong......then it's probably best to listen. Don't tell yourself "Oh, well i'll just do it anyways."  

Just say "NO"! a simple and short word. 

• All you need to say is simply 'Yes' or 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one. -Matthew 5:37

Resisting temptation

• Be watchful and pray so that you may not enter into temptation. 
• Avoid situations that lead into trouble. 
• Don't go looking for the devil. 
• Don't show Satan how bad you are. ( that will make it easier for him to tempt you. 
• The most important way to resist temptation is to read your Bible!!!   Why?? Because then you can quote scripture, just like Jesus did. ( Matthew 4:1-11) 

Some people are easily tempted than others, based on where they are and their choices. 

We must remember to protect: 

1. our mind 
2. our speech
3. how we carry ourselves

What we do can/and will lead us to fall into temptation. The devil can use the things around us to tempt us. So we should be watchful and prayerful like our heavenly father suggests we do.
