My Testimony

All my life i was a Seventh-Day Adventist, but I never realized what it truly meant to be one. When I was around 13 years old I started asking myself the "Who made me?", and "Who is this God so many people believe in?", and at the time I heard and saw many testimonies at my church of sinners who repented and found Jesus. So I thought, why not me. One Sabbath afternoon, I attended Sabbath school and they would hand us a book called, "Guide", and in that small book many stories were written by kids my age, and what caught my attention was an Ad of some sort and it was entitled "My place with Jesus". I later on came to find that it was a website, and after pondering upon it I decided to check it out. After getting an account( which I forgot the password to, because I haven't been there in 3 years.) I started visiting the site at least once a day, and I think they had 12 lessons. From time to time each lesson brought me closer to God and the more I was close to God the more I was eager to learn more about Him. By the time I reached the 12th lesson I had set my mind upon getting baptized and so I asked my father, and he said I could. So on the Sabbath day we talked to pastor after Sabbath service, and he said I needed to read a book called "The Great Controversy." ( I forgot the author, but it was not by Ellen white). I read the book in about 4 weeks, with my 13 year old brain, I didn't understand much, but I did understand enough to know that God was truly what many people said he was, and the best part is that he was more. On December 18, 2011 I stood up and gave my testimony on how I came to know God and why i set my mind on being baptized. I asked God to come to my heart and lead my steps and today I say................

And that's how I came to know God, the most wonderful person, friend and father I've ever known!!

  1. Great testimony! By the way, "The Great Controversy" is by Ellen White.
