Book Review!

Hello wonderful readers! I hope you've all been well this week and I thank the Lord for keeping all of you safe.

So as you can tell by the title, this is a book review. I have a page that I usually post what books I've finished and the rate I give them, but I decided to do a review on what I honestly think about this recent book I finished, so read on!

Let me be a woman is a very good book, and I actually learned a lot from it. The first few chapters focus on women and what we were made to be, but the book is mostly about marriage. I don't usually read books about marriage, as I am not of age to get into the act of matrimony, but I found some good things I could apply to myself, even if I'm not getting ready to marry.

This book was letters written by Elisabeth Elliot to her daughter who was getting ready to marry. And some of the letters are a real blessing and you can always pick a good in something, cant you? So that's what I did. I picked some key points from this book and I'd like to share them with you all!

I would not really recommend this book to young ladies who are not of age to get married. Only because some of the things said are mean't for people who look forward to matrimony very soon.

Quotes from the book:

To be a disciple means to be disciplined. -Elisabeth Elliot

A child has to know first of all and beyond any shadow of doubt that the word spoken will be the word carried out. -Elisabeth Elliot  ( I adore working with Kids so this quote  really stuck out to me.)

Failure to fulfill threats( If you don't do this you'll be spanked) and promises trains a child to discount what is said. It trains him to lie. -Elisabeth Elliot

"The beauty of thy peace" Shines forth in an ordered life. A disordered life speaks loudly of disorder in the soul. - Elisabeth Elliot

We have something to respond to, something that directs and calls and holds us, and it is in obedience to the command that we will find our full freedom. -Elisabeth Elliot

Evasion of responsibility is the mark of immaturity. -Elisabeth Elliot

But to be meek is to have a sane and proper estimate of ones place in the scheme of things. It is a sense of proportion. -Elisabeth Elliot.

A choice is a limitation!- Elisabeth Elliot

Hoping you were blessed and please click on the underlined meek word and be blessed with the post.

Your sister in Christ,
Zipporah
