Challenge day 2 :D

Hello wonderful readers!!
Day one went fairly well and I also learned some things that I'm lacking as a Christian girl growing in Christ everyday. Especially on my attitude, I need to work on that big time!! Sometimes I can't control my temper and I tend to say things I don't mean and act in a way that I know is not pleasing to God. Also for the way I carry myself, I know that I should act set-apart; different from this world, my mind should focus on the heavenly things instead of the earthly. I should also learn to hold my tongue and speak at the right time when it's needed, I ought to speak words of kindness and uplifting whenever and wherever I do so.

I am honestly thankful for this challenge, because I can already tell that I will grow more in Christ by the end of this challenges.

Here is a video that has been helping me stay strong in Christ, I really love this song!!

Day 2 : What sin is..

This challenge kind of goes back to the first one. In that-- there will be things that might hinder us from shining bright for Jesus. And that is Sin

  • What are some of the reasons for us not being able to shine, like we know He wants us to? Sometimes the reason we can’t become those shining lights, is because we have sin in our lives. Sin will keep us from becoming the Virtuous Daughters (in other words, the shining lights that He has called us to be) and the shining lights that we long to become. Sin will bind you in ways you never thought possible and prevent these things from happening.
The question you should ask yourself is:

What is God not allowing to happen in your own life, because of the sin that is binding you?  ( I will ponder upon this while as part of day 2's challenge.)

What is sin..? Here are some references I got from the virtuous daughters eBook :

1. Sin is lawless, a transgression from any of God’s standards

2. It is failing to trust in and do what God’s word says
3. Sin is wanting to do things our own way, rather than God’s way
4. It is presuming God will help us, even when we are neglecting His truth
5. Sin is thinking we can get by without God’s help

As for day 2, I will be pondering on this questions.

Are we in transgression of God’s standards? Are we failing to trust God and what His word truly says? Do we want to do things our own way, rather than God’s way? Are we thinking that God will bless us, even when we are in disobedience to His commands? Do we think that we can get by without God’s help?

Your sister in Christ,
Zipporah.

Blessings!
