Our reason for sharing the gospel with an unbeliever or sharing a difficult truth with a fellow believer should not be to rack up cosmic brownie points, but to bring glory to God. Also, when we know our words are supported by scripture, we can speak them with confidence and conviction. -By Jasmine, Joyfully at home
When speaking to someone about Jesus, we should try to not be prideful, because God dislikes that. For example we can't be thinking, "oh am so much better than him/her and him/her will never reach my standards." Don't underestimate people because you never know what God's plan is for them.
For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. - Galatians 6:3
Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, -Jeremiah 9:23
When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom. -Proverbs 11:2
The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate. -Proverbs 8:13
What our Lord Jesus wants us to do:
Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. - Colossians 4:6-6
Hoping you were blessed with this post!
